VAL D'ORCIA

MONTEPULCIANO
 
Meeting of the participants at the agreed place and departure by GT bus in the direction of Montepulciano. Upon arrival, lunch on the farm with wine and home-made products tasting with possibility of purchase. Guided tour of the town called the pearl of the 16th century for its numerous architectural works of that period. During the tour visit to one of the cellars where the noble wine is produced, located in the basement of the patrician palaces. In the evening accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

SANT ANTIMO - MONTALCINO - PIENZA 
 
Breakfast at the hotel, meeting with the guide for the visit of the Basilica of Sant'Antimo. Then on to Montalcino, guided tour and visit/tasting in a cellar where the excellent "Brunello" wine is produced. Lunch at your leisure and/or in a restaurant. Afternoon dedicated to a guided tour of Pienza, the Renaissance town par excellence. In the numerous shops selling typical local products you can also find numerous attractions for the palate: cheese, wine, oil, herbs, etc... Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

SIENA
 
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Siena, with guided tour/exterior visit of the most important monuments: the Palazzo Pubblico, the Civic Museum, the Loggia della Mercanzia, the Palazzo del Magnifico, the Chapel of St. John the Baptist, the Library and the Palazzo Piccolomini, the Museum of the Metropolitan Opera, the Baptistery, the National Art Gallery, the Torre del Mangia overlooking Piazza del Campo, the centre of the city, from which branch off to the Duomo, the Basilica San Domenico, the Sanctuary of Santa Caterina, Piazza Salimbeni, Via di Città, the most elegant and solemn of the three streets that divide the urban layout of the city, and Porta Romana. Lunch in a restaurant. Return to origin.
